Sprinkler Headguard with Water Shield for Model GL Series Automatic Sprinklers
Description and Operation
The Globe Model GL upright sprinkler combined headguard and water shield is designed for use where mechanical injury to the sprinkler might be expected and where a water shield is needed to protect the sprinkler's thermosensitive element from the water spray discharge of higher elevation sprinklers which could operate sooner during a fire.
The Globe combined headguard and water shield can be used with either the 1/2" or 17/32" orifice Model GL upright sprinklers.
Typical areas of usage are in storage racks, under open grating or even outdoors as a protection from weather.
