Globe's Model H-1 Air Pressure Maintenance Device is an automatic, field-adjustable device of the pressure reducing type. It is used to control the supervisory air pressure in a dry pipe sprinkler system, preaction system, or dry pilot line system of a dry pilot sprinkler actuated deluge or preaction valve. The H-1 is utilized in applications where there is a compressed air (or nitrogen) source which is at a higher pressure than the desired system pressure. Pressure sources include plant air supplies having their own automatic compressor controls, or nitrogen supplies having single stage cylinder mounted pressure regulators.

Model H-1– Air Pressure Maintenance Device: Where a field-adjustable, pressure reducing type air maintenance device is required to control the supervisory air pressure in dry pipe, preaction type, and dry-pilot lines of deluge systems they shall be specifically listed for such use. The air pressure maintenance device is utilized in applications where a higher air pressure service is available then what is required by the sprinkler system. The device shall be designed for a “quick-fill” per the requirements of NFPA; as well as a regulator and metering orifice to replace air pressure automatically into the sprinkler system to make-up for small naturally occurring air pressure loses. The air pressure maintenance device shall be UL listed or FM approved. Air Pressure Maintenance Device shall be Model H-1; as manufactured by Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation.
